Michael Reddell
6th Grade Teacher
Michael Reddell is the 6th Grade homeroom teacher at Holy Spirit School, teaching English Language Arts and Religion. He also collaborates with Ms. Medina in teaching third-grade math. Mr. Reddell is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology: Child and Adolescent Development. Mr. Reddell brings over a decade of teaching experience to Holy Spirit. His career has included eight years teaching at an international elementary school and university in China, followed by six years teaching at St. Leander School in San Leandro and St. Catherine of Siena School in Martinez, where he taught 2nd through 5th Grades.
Mr. Reddell is known for his patient yet firm teaching style, focusing on building student confidence. New to Holy Spirit School, he is excited to engage with students, staff, and families. Mr. Reddell’s international experience has given him a deeper understanding of cultural diversity and learning differences, which he incorporates into his teaching methods.
In addition to his classroom work, Mr. Reddell has a strong background in technology, web design, and digital media, and this year, he will be running Holy Spirit's Robotics Club with Mr. Escobedo. Outside of teaching, he enjoys camping, tennis, science fiction, and painting. He lives with his wife, new daughter Makayla, and his two cats, Soy Sauce and Wasabi.
