Physical Education
The PE program at Holy Spirit teaches the fundamental skills and awareness that all students need to sustain a physically active and healthy lifestyle. Students will become confident, develop social skills, learn leadership, obtain personal goals, be responsible, and better their physical fitness. Students attend PE class twice a week for 35-45 minute sessions.
Goals: Kindergarten-2nd Grade
Motor skills and movement patterns – students show knowledge of maintaining fitness, along with strategies to improve their health.
Goals: 3rd Grade-5th Grade
Physical fitness concepts and strategies – students learn to improve their health and performance.
Goals: 6th Grade-8th Grade
Knowledge of psychological and sociological concepts – students maintain strategies that help increase physical fitness and performance.
