Technology

Technology in the classroom is important for many reasons. Technology creates a more engaging environment for students, allows teachers to incorporate different learning styles more easily, prepares children for the future, and connects teachers with students. Additionally, technology helps students develop personal and social responsibility, critical thinking and decision-making skills, communication skills, and cross-cultural understanding.

Recognizing this importance and these benefits, Holy Spirit School students:

• Use Chromebooks in all classrooms, Kindergarten through 8^th Grade
• Use Smartboards in every classroom
• Kindergarten-2nd Grade are in the computer lab one day a week (the classes are split into smaller groups in computer lab for more personal attention; half of the class at a time
• In 3rd – 8th Grade, technology education is suffused through the curriculum in all subjects
