1st Grade Teacher

Rachelle Ellering is Holy Spirit School’s 1st Grade teacher. Ms. Ellering grew up in the Bay Area and received her BA at Chico State; she received her multiple-subject teaching credential from St. Mary’s College of California. Ms. Ellering loves animals and lives with her two dogs – a husky named Athena and golden retriever named Lucca – and a horse named Justin! Ms. Ellering enjoys teaching at Holy Spirit because of the strong community spirit, and the involvement of parents and family in her students’ educations. 

There are many fun activities in the 1st Grade classroom, including monthly projects with 8th Grade buddies and making leprechaun traps in the Spring. Ms. Ellering’s favorite saint in St. Francis of Assisi, so she especially loves the Blessing of the Animals on his feast day!
